Hayl International School
Sport, leadership, creativity, communication, and values-led growth beyond the classroom.
At Hayl International School, co-curricular life complements classroom learning with purposeful opportunities in sport, creativity, communication, teamwork, leadership, and service. Students are encouraged to try new experiences, deepen existing strengths, and grow in a supportive environment shaped by high expectations and Islamic values.

Shared experiences that build responsibility, collaboration, and positive contribution.
Programmes that support wellbeing, discipline, character, and practical life skills.
Our co-curricular programme is designed to extend learning beyond lessons and help students grow as balanced, capable young people. These experiences encourage initiative, curiosity, discipline, and collaboration in ways that support both personal and academic development.
Whether students are creating, speaking, leading, serving, or participating in sport, each activity is intended to strengthen practical life skills and deepen a sense of belonging to the school community.
These experiences help learners think creatively, express ideas clearly, and build confidence through practical, collaborative work.
These elements help students grow into thoughtful, dependable individuals who contribute positively to school life and carry strong values into everyday decisions.

Co-curricular learning is most effective when it is intentional, well-supported, and connected to the values of the school. At Hayl, students take part in activities in spaces that encourage participation, reflection, skill-building, and healthy routines.
We take a student-centred approach that encourages active participation, curiosity, and purposeful challenge. Co-curricular sessions are designed to be engaging and practical so students can learn by doing, reflecting, and working with others.
Teachers guide learners through discussion, projects, teamwork, performance, and hands-on activity. Alongside skills development, we emphasise discipline, respect, and Islamic moral values so that growth in confidence is matched by growth in character.
Each session is planned with clear goals so that students understand the skills they are building, whether in communication, leadership, creativity, physical coordination, or problem-solving. Learners are encouraged to take responsibility, contribute positively, and recognise how effort and consistency lead to progress over time.
Reflection is also an important part of the process. Students are given opportunities to review their participation, celebrate improvement, and learn from challenge, helping them become more confident, thoughtful, and resilient in both school activities and everyday life.
Hayl International School provides a supportive environment that helps students participate fully in both academic and co-curricular life. Key spaces that support student growth include:
